Exhausts
Exhaust repair and replacement
Gone loud, droning, or rattling underneath? Exhausts are made in sections, so we can usually replace just the failed part rather than the whole system, and a leak before the sensors can affect running and fail the MOT, so it’s worth sorting quickly. Free exhaust check for cars and vans.
What we do
Back boxes & silencers
The most common failure point, replaced with a quality matching part.
Centre & front sections
Pipes, flexi joints and mid-sections, including welded repairs where suitable.
Catalytic converters
Replacement cats and lambda (oxygen) sensors when they’ve failed or been stolen.
Brackets & mounts
A cheap fix that often cures a rattle or a knocking noise under the car.
DPF diagnosis
Diesel particulate filter warnings, forced regeneration where suitable, or advice on cleaning vs replacement.
Emissions faults
An exhaust leak or sensor fault causing an MOT emissions failure or engine light.

Exhausts
Why has my exhaust gone loud?
Usually a hole or a failed joint at a corroded section or a broken bracket. Worth fixing quickly, a leak before the sensors affects running and the MOT.
Do I need a whole new exhaust?
Often not. We can usually replace just the failed section, a back box, centre pipe or bracket.
My DPF light is on. Can you help?
Yes. We diagnose it, try a forced regeneration where suitable, and advise on cleaning or replacement if it’s blocked. Short trips are the usual cause.
Someone cut off my catalytic converter. Can you replace it?
Yes, we can supply and fit a replacement cat and, where available, advise on a protective guard.
