Who we are

Crown Garage is the customer-facing name for our Hanham and Saltford garages, operated by Crown Garage Hanham Limited (company no. 16830247) and Crown Garage Service Centre Limited (company no. 16830248). What we collect

Depending on how you contact us, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, vehicle registration and details of your enquiry (via the contact form); your name and vehicle details when you make a booking; and standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type when you use the website.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote (our legitimate interest in dealing with your request).
  • To manage your booking, carry out the work and keep the legally required records of MOT tests and repairs (contract and legal obligation).
  • To understand how the website is used, if you consent to analytics cookies (consent).

Online booking

Our online booking is provided by Motasoft Virtual Garage Manager. When you book, the details you enter (name, contact details, vehicle and service) are processed by Motasoft on our behalf within their booking system. See Motasoft’s own terms and privacy information for how they handle that data.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us run the business, under contract:

  • Motasoft (Virtual Garage Manager): booking system and workshop records.
  • Google (Analytics): website usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting and delivery.
  • Web3Forms: delivery of contact form messages to our inboxes.
  • Parts suppliers, the DVSA and, where relevant, our accountants, where needed to carry out and record the work.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for up to 24 months. Booking, invoice and MOT records are kept for the period required by law and for handling any warranty or dispute, typically 6 years, and longer for MOT records held by the DVSA.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
