Tyres, alignment & balancing
Tyres, wheel alignment and balancing
We supply and fit tyres for cars and vans, and put things right when a tyre’s wearing badly, which is often an alignment or balancing problem, not the tyre itself. Free tyre check any time. Tell us the size on the sidewall, or give us your registration.

What we do
Tyres supplied & fitted
Budget to premium brands ordered in for your car or van, fitted and balanced. Happy to fit tyres you’ve bought too.
Free tyre check
Tread depth, condition, age and pressures, against the UK legal minimum of 1.6mm. We’d suggest changing at 2.5–3mm.
Wheel balancing
Cures vibration through the steering wheel or seat at speed. Always done when we fit a new tyre.
Wheel alignment
Corrects pulling, an off-centre steering wheel and uneven edge wear, and makes your tyres last longer.
Punctures
Where it’s safe and legal to repair (within the central area, no sidewall damage), we’ll plug-and-patch rather than sell you a tyre.
Valves & TPMS
New valves with every tyre, and we can diagnose a tyre pressure warning light.

Tyres & alignment
What’s the legal tread depth?
1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, all the way round. Grip in the wet drops off well before that, we’d change at 2.5–3mm.
Do I need wheel alignment?
If the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel sits off-centre, or a tyre is wearing on one edge, the alignment is likely out. Kerbs and potholes do it over time.
Can I bring my own tyres?
Yes. We’ll fit and balance supplied tyres, or order them in for you.
Can you repair a puncture?
If it’s in the repairable area with no sidewall damage, yes, a proper plug-and-patch rather than a new tyre.
